Our Workplace

It is Tyler ContinueCARE Hospital’s policy to prohibit and prevent workplace violence by any person on our campus. Tyler ContinueCARE Hospital does not tolerate workplace violence. Any person found in violation of this policy may be removed from Tyler ContinueCARE Hospital premises and, if applicable, may be subject to termination if employed, or other disciplinary action, including arrest and/or criminal prosecution.

Tyler ContinueCARE Hospital prohibits the following conduct by any person that includes without limitation:

  1. Possession of any weapon, explosive, or firearm on Tyler ContinueCARE Hospital premises unless otherwise allowed by law;
  1. Physically harming a person;
  1. Engaging in behavior that creates a reasonable fear of injury to another person;
  1. Engaging in behavior that subjects another person to extreme emotional distress including comments that are demeaning to another’s race, gender, religion, ethnicity or identity;
  1. Shouting, shoving, pushing, harassment, intimidation or coercion;
  1. Intentionally damaging property or sabotage; and
  1. Committing injurious acts motivated by or related to domestic violence or sexual harassment.

If you experience and/or witness any concerning behaviors, you have a responsibility to report it immediately. You may report your concerns to the Charge Nurse, Director of Quality Management, and/or Chief Nursing Officer at Tyler ContinueCARE hospital.
